Once again, Ramon Roqueta showcased its wines at the 37th edition of Mostra de Vins i Cava de Catalunya a popular event to sample wine and cava from Catalonia. It takes place in the heart of Barcelona at Passeig Lluís Companys (close to the Arc de Triomf). This event is a longstanding tradition and it used to coincide with the celebrations of Barcelona’s La Mercè Festival. This year it was held from 27 -29 October.
Ramon Roqueta presented its Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Red Grenache and White Grenache wines to be sampled by participants. The Ramon Roqueta winery sold a large number of tickets.
Visitors were invited to taste and discover wine and cava from 68 wineries from 12 denominations of origin in Catalonia.]]>
Ramon Roqueta Tempranillo 2016 received the silver medal at the Vinari 2017 awards in the DO Catalunya category, and a bronze medal in the category for Young Red Wines.
The Vinari awards were held on 6 October in a ceremony held in Vilafranca de Penedès. It was the fifth edition of these awards which have a solid reputation in recognising Catalan wines.
The gala was broadcast live on Catalan TV on Canal 33. Over 870 references from 235 wineries from 12 appellations of origin (DO Catalunya) took part in this competition.]]>
During the last few days in September, when the days were shorter and the heat less intense- due to lower night-time temperatures and some intermittent rainfall – harvesting advanced more slowly than expected. However, by the end of September, the harvest was over.
Like the white varieties, the red varieties were in excellent health and of excellent quality. The result of this harvest was very good or excellent.]]>

On May 19, the Spanish wine guide -La Semana Vitivinícola –published a guide to wines and oils from Valencia. The guide is the first of its kind to classify wines according to their variety and it now features 1,800 references, which is 30% more than previous editions. This seventh edition features 427 wineries from all over Spain.
The guide awarded 91 points to Ramon Roqueta Chardonnay 2017.
Ramon Roqueta Tempranillo picked up the Gold Medal at the Gilbert & Gaillard International Competition 2017. It is a young red wine that captures the pure authenticity of the Ull de Llebre (Tempranillo) variety.
The magazine Gilbert & Gaillard is of French origin and has over 25 years of experience. It runs its tasting worldwide throughout the 5 continents. It is the second largest magazine in the world, with a distribution of 167,000 copies per issue.]]>

This wine competition has taken place in the German capital since 2004 and has become the country’s largest and most important International wine tasting event. The jury is made up of a team of international experts who test over 5000 wines which are selected in accordance with the standards of the art of wine-tasting, and each wine receives a rating.]]>
